Keep Lagos Clean! LASAA Begins Removal of Illegal Political Posters, Billboards

Lagos State Government has directed the removal of 1.5 million illegally installed political posters and 358 billboards in different parts of the state during the electioneering.

It is expected that this cleanup exercise will return the order to the visual environment in Lagos State.

During a media session in Alausa on Monday, the Managing Director of Lagos State Advertisement and Signage Agency (LASAA), Mr. George Noah, affirmed the need to clean up the state from all sort of defacement.

He noted that it is imperative “to clean up the state of all posters and billboards defacing our streets and environment now that the general election had been concluded.

In a bid to minimise the abuse of the environment before the just concluded elections, LASAA organized a town hall meeting with all political parties where it issued guidelines for the display of election campaign materials in Lagos State.
