Lenovo, one of the top smartphone manufacturers in the world, has launched a device called the Lenovo Pocket Projector at the Mobile World Congress 2015, which enables users to pair up their big television or LED screens with any smartphone or tablet that operates on or above Jellybean 4.3.
The new devices, Lenovo says, are designed to capture and share life’s moments while on the go. Lenovo opened the show with its first 2-in-1 camera smartphone. The Lenovo Vibe Shot, as it is called, is a smartphone for photography enthusiasts.
A crossover device, the Vibe Shot carries a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera that features a six-piece modular lens. It has a full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor, perfect for shooting images in the dark.
This device will be made available in May 2015, priced at only $249. The Pocket Projector is roughly about the size and weight of an iPhone 6 Plus. Thus it is not small enough to be pocketed but can be hand-held with ease and convenience.
This Projector is like a next generation, tech-savvy smartphone accessory. It boasts a resolution of 854×480, which is a big deal for a device which is so small. However it does not even remotely compare to the resolution offered by a standard projector.
The users can enjoy videos in both popular aspect ratios of 4:3 as well as 16:9.The brightness is rated at 50 lumens.
The main benefit of this device is its ergonomic design which makes it manageable and easy to carry everywhere, which is not a quality found in standard projectors. The device can come in handy during impromptu projects and presentations.
Another advantage of the device is that along with it's 2.5 hour battery life it boasts stereo speakers on both sides along with a 3.5mm audio jack.Thus a person does not need to carry any other accessories or hardware if he has the Pocket Porjector with him.
