Hill+Knowlton Steps Into PR Industry In Nigeria

Drawing upon its global PR expertise and African professionals Hill+Knowlton has finally step into the Nigeria PR industry to offer its clients a broad range of services.

Nigeria is one of the fastest growing economy in Africa despite lack of constant electricity as well as security challenges in the North East region of the country. Many companies across the world are tapping into numerous opportunities in the country.

Currently, the firm handles two blue chip accounts - Twitter and MasterCard in the country.

According to an inside source, the agency has decided to deepen its presence in Nigeria to offer its clients services such as corporate communications, marketing communications, internal communications, sports marketing and sponsorship, digital communications, issues and crisis consultancy, and public affairs.

JSP Communications, one of the foremost PR agencies in Nigeria was - before now - an affiliate of Hill + Knowlton in Nigeria.

In 2013, Hill+Knowlton Strategies offices in four African markets — Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana — and the near-term formation of offices in Nigeria and South Africa.

H+K Strategies entered the sub-Saharan Africa region in May 2009 through a joint venture with Scangroup, a Kenya-based marketing and communications firm listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), with an office opening in Nairobi. The outfit has grown significantly, supporting global, multinational and local brands, including Procter & Gamble, Nokia, Coca-Cola, Airtel, Nestle, Emirates, Standard Chartered, Sony, De La Rue and DHL.
