Following Carmudi Nigeria’s frantic efforts in bringing convenience to online car shoppers, the car-listing firm on Saturday visited Africa’s largest offline used car marketplace, United Berger Market in Lagos to give it a face lift.
The Carmudi team and the automobile dealers painted the market blue.
Speaking with BrandArena at the event, the Managing Director, Carmudi Nigeria, Mr. Christian Keller, said Carmudi decision to carry out the exercise is in line with its partnership with the United Berger Motor Dealers Association.
“In recognition of the state of the United Berger Market, we decided to seek the aid of the automobile dealers and paint the market blue. We have a good partnership with United Berger Market which we would like to maintain for a long time", he said.
"The world is changing and we have been encouraging car dealers to change their business pattern by embracing the world of technology. Trust is the most important thing and Carmudi actually have the integrity. We focuses on quality, convenience and integrity, which make it the number one online car to be reckoned with.
"We are optimistic about the market and have been strategising especially in other cities aside Lagos, like Kano, Port Harcourt, Abuja and other areas with large car assemblies", Mr. Keller said.
Keller explained that repainting the environment blue was significant, depicting acceptance of Carmudi.com by the people and a sense of solidarity to the market.
United Berger Market was officially recognized in 1993 as one of Africa’s Largest used car market grew to become the largest in Africa. The market presently has over 500 registered car dealerships and produces annual revenue of up to 3 billion naira according to reports.
