With the aim of making mobile payments more secure as well as accessible to their consumers, Etisalat and First Bank have partnered to combine First Bank’s Firstmonie with Etisalat’s Easywallet application.
The aim is to promote the use of Firstmonie on the Easywallet SIM Tool Kit menu. The support from the two organisations will include an awareness campaign, increased mobile money visibility and education, training and branding of agents, as well as the much-needed support and issue resolutions.
Lucas Dada, Business Segment Director, Etisalat Nigeria stated that: “Etisalat Easywallet is a secure and convenient platform for mobile money services. With the Easywallet, Etisalat subscribers can make financial transactions such as Peer-to-Peer transfers, Bills Payment and Airtime top-up, directly from their mobile device.”
