Africa Tourism Expedition 2014
The maiden edition of the Africa Tourism Expedition 2014, tagged Afro Tourism Expo, held on September 17-18 in Abuja, Nigeria. It was marked by workshops and an award show recognising individuals and organisations that have stood out in the tourism industry. The highly anticipated event was themed “creating the framework, and business environment, for investment in Africa’s Tourism industries” and was aimed at creating an avenue for stakeholders in the tourism industry to share ideas and proffer solutions to the problems faced by travellers in Africa.
Lagos Carnival 2014
The Lagos Carnival is a yearly event held in Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria. It involves a show of live performances with an eclectic parade that moves from one part of the city to another. Ladies and gents eagerly dance and display their national pride along with foreigners that come to enjoy the show. If you missed out on Lagos Carnival 2014, there’s another one coming up around April 2015.
