It aims to educate hoteliers, hotel owners, the Nigerian hospitality industry as well as the general public on security challenges of hotels and catering organisations, while offering solutions to surmount them.
Some of these solutions include simple techniques for detecting and preventing explosives in the hotel environment, personell secutiry checks and detecting suspicious activities. The workshop featured speeches by CP Lagos State Command CP Cornelius Kayode Aderanti; MD/CEO Halogen Security Company Limited, Wale Olaoye and Chief Femi Falana(SAN).
According to the President of the Nigerian Hospitality Security Network, Prince Chris Okojie, “operators in the tourism industry will continually be educated on issues bordering on security and ways to cope with the challenges in accordance to global best practices.
