The Famous Grouse/Jumia Alamode event took place at the National Museums of Kenya on Saturday 15th Nov 2014 from 8:00 AM till dawn.
A La Mode is an annual beauty pageant much like the current Mr. & Miss University. However, the competition did not restrict itself to just one University.
Students from different universities too participated. The event seeks to bring together students from different universities to promote Kenyan and African fashion, beauty and design.
There was an after party at the same venue that actually ended at 9:00 AM the following day.
The 14 models 7 men and 7 ladies were dressed by Jumia Kenya's leading online retailer and everybody at the event took home several bottles of Famous Grouse apart from the many who were taken home like Shaffie
The winners of the event took home a KSH. 3000 shopping voucher from Jumia Kenya.
