Jumia app now available on Windows Phone

Giving its teeming customers the opportunity to further make their purchase via mobile, Nigerian e-commerce firm Jumia has now launched its app on Windows Phone.

The Jumia app for Windows Phone is now available for free download for all Lumia devices, via the Windows App store.

Commenting on the launching, the managing director (MD) for marketing and sales, Jonathan Doerr, Jumia Nigeria said: “We are giving Nigerians the best shopping experience with technology innovation such as the new app for windows phone."

Microsoft said the Jumia app is one more the more “interesting” apps to come to the Lumia range of devices, saying the app is aligned with Microsoft’s efforts to bring as many essential tools directly to customers’ mobile devices as possible.

“We are happy to partner with the Jumia, the leading e-commerce company in Nigeria, to bring this on the Lumia device. This is one of our ways of ensuring that our customers get access to the tools they need on their Lumia devices,” said Nick Imudia, managing director (MD), for Microsoft Mobile West Africa.

Jumia first launched its app for Android devices in August 2013 in Nigeria, Morocco, Ivory Coast and Kenya, with the company saying the app was intended to make online shopping easier and totally flexible.
