Nigeria’s most innovative and fastest growing telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria has signed-up as the lead event partner of the third Mobile West Africa, a highly acclaimed technology conference, which held from May 13 through 16, 2014 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Victoria Island. This is the third time Etisalat is sponsoring this event in a row.

Director, Business Segments, Etisalat, Lucas Dada, said his company is pleased to partner with All Amber on the conference because it provides an avenue to address topical industry issues. ‘An event that features a speaker faculty of over 60 experts from diverse parts of the world is important because vital matters of common interest will be discussed; networking and sharing of ideas will also be part of the event. This is one way we support innovation and the development of Mobile Ecosystem in Nigeria.’ He said.

He explained that Etisalat would not delay in supporting efforts that would help the industry grow hence this partnership. According to Dada, ‘we are firm believers in the Mobile West Africa. In our opinion, this year’s edition is shaping up excellently and therefore we are delighted to be a lead partner.’

The organisers of the event reveal that experts would be attending from various parts of the world including Africa and the Middle East, while discussions would focus on the development of the West African mobile data and monetization.

Founder, All Amber, Matthew Dawes commended the partnership his company has with Etisalat, claiming it will be for the good of the industry. ‘What impressed me was Etisalat’s readiness to commit from the first conversation I had with them,’ said he. The company’s prompt action according to Dawes, ‘illustrates not only the quality of the conference but that Etisalat appreciates that it is a platform that enables progress. Partnerships like this are essential for the longevity of Mobile West Africa.’
