Awujale of Ijebuland Plans Big For 80th Birthday

The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona would turn 80 years on May 10 and plans are in top gear to celebrate the revered monarch.

The event will commence from Tuesday, 22 April 2014 to Saturday, 10 May 2014 where the grand finale will take place at the grand pavilion right in front of the traditional ruler’s palace.

The ceremony will bring together high value indigenes of the town, from Africa and beyond; Oba Okunade Sijuade of Ile  Ife,Ibrahim Sulu Gambari of Ilorin, Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu I of Lagos State Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso Karunwi III of Oke Ona Egbaland, Dr. Olusanya Adegboyega Dosunmu II of Owu, Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi... just to mention but a few. Also in attendance will be other high profiled Ijebu Ode citizens in diaspora.
