Airtel Ghana Gets New MD

Lucy Quist has been appointment by Bharti Airtel as the new managing director for Airtel Ghana.

Quist, a Ghanaian national, has strong experience in the telecommunications industry in Ghana and across Africa, joining Airtel from Vodafone Ghana where she has been director of the Enterprise Business Unit.

“Lucy will be taking over from Philip Sowah who will be leaving Airtel at the end of May to pursue interests outside the company. We have requested that he continues to play a governance role in our Ghana CSR Foundation. Quist joined Vodafone Ghana in 2011 as head of strategy and planning and managing director of its Wholesale Business, having previously been head of business development for Africa and head of northern sector for Ghana at Millicom International Cellular (Tigo).
