The tradition of sustaining brand loyalty and consumer engagement was reenacted as Nigeria’s leading brewing Company, Nigerian Breweries Plc rewarded and celebrated its esteemed distributors across the Nigeria. Ifeoma Chukwuka Nigeria Limited emerged as the best distributor, while Ken Maduako Nigeria Limited and GN Anyoha and Sons Limited went home with 2nd and 3rd place prizes respectively.
The highly entertaining and colourful event which took place at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Island brought together a convergence of marketers, trade partners, distributors, transporters and consumers of Nigerian Breweries.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries plc, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde, extolled the invaluable contributions of the distributors and partners to the overall success of the company. His words: “it was a year ago that we predicted a fierce competition in the beer market. However, our company won more market share in 2013. This night, market growth shows that distribution has been crucial to Nigerian Breweries’ success in the beer market. We are committed to spend more money on our brands than the previous year. This is because 2014 is another year for partnership based on mutual respect and success.”
Throwing more light on the importance of the event, Sales Director, Mr. Hubert Eze said: “We have always seen the need for consistent interaction with our partners, besides creating unique reward and loyalty programmes and innovative ideas. These have always brought out the best from our trade partners.
“Besides, considering the present challenges like violence in some parts of the country, political tension in many states and high costs of borrowed funds, faced by business people in Nigeria, we believe it is imperative for any serious brand handler to effectively target the needs and expectations of their distributors. This, has indeed, helped us in developing a service design that has effectively and delightfully managed our customers’ expectations.” He applauded the distributors for their immense feat in 2013 and urged them to surpass this in 2014.
Nigeria’s high life maestro, Sir Victor Uwaifo, sensational Tiwa Savage and multi-talented comedian Gordon gave reverting musical performance and jokes which was emblematic of Nigerian Breweries’ 68years iconic relevance in the Nigerian Brewery market.
Some of the deserving winners of the night won across several categories spanning diverse brands. Distinguished winners for the several categories include Brand Champion in Magulf Global Enterprises (Star), Ken Maduakor Group Limited (Amstel Malta), Moses & Lossy Nigeria Enterprises (Life), GN Nnadi & Bros (Malta Gold), Ifeoma Chukwuka Nigeria Limited (Maltina) and RN Okeke & Sons Limited (Climax) respectively.
Some of the winners were recognized and presented prizes in their respective categories by Nollywood’s enigmatic actress, Patience Ozokwo and Marketing Director of Nigerian Breweries, Walter Drenth.
