The Marie Claire publication goes on sale Monday, 17 February, will donate money to The Lunchbox Fund as readers who buy the magazine post "selfies" (not naked ones) with their magazine and the hashtag #MCNaked.
For every 5 000 correctly tagged selfies shared, Marie Claire will donate R5 000 to The Lunchbox Fund to the total of R10 000.
On the cover, heavily pregnant and nude, Lee-Ann Liebenberg does a Demi – proudly showing her baby bump.
"Twelve million South African kids go to school hungry," says Marie Claire editor, Aspasia Karras. The Marie Claire Naked issue aims to raise awareness and support for hungry children in the country and will donate money to The Lunchbox Fund as part of the Naked campaign. (www.thelunchboxfund.org)
Celebrities taking part in this year's campaign include: MTV Base presenter, Nomuzi Mabena; radio presenters, Catherine Grenfell and Zama Dube; comedians, Marc Lottering and Anne Hirsch; big-wave surfer and The Lunchbox Fund ambassador, Chris Bertish; ultra-trail runner, Ryan Sandes; SA hip-hop artists, Tebogo 'Proverb' Thekisho and Siya 'Slikour' Metane among others.
If celebrities in Naija try this... Hmmm... I'm sure the bouhaha will be so much from the public no matter how great the campaign may be.

ReplyDeleteI don't think many Nigerian celebrities could do this. I can't view for Tonto Dike, Cosy Ojiako, Mercy Johnson, and some of this upcoming ladies who are desperate to make the fame and money though.
