NIPR appoints six officials

To manage the affairs of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, its newly elected President, Dr. Rotimi Oladele, has appointed six presidential aides.

According a statement on Tuesday, Oladele said the appointments would take effect immediately and would require the sacrifice, dedication and humility of the appointed officials, stressing the need to be proactive and imbibe the spirit of selfless service.

The appointed officials, who are also members and fellows of the institute include Mr. Willy Ogbiri (Chief of Staff); Dr. Grace Ekpoanwan  Achum (Special Assistant on Media); and Mr. Eric Adile Iroajugh (Special Assistant on Information Technology).

Others are Mr. Kunle Ogedengbe (Secretary, International Training Committee and Coordinator, National Training Programmes); George Akpan (Special Assistant, Secretariat and State Chapters’ Matters); and Mr. Abiodun Olatunbosun (Special Assistant, Protocol and Logistics).

In addition, he said that the institute’s valentine breakfast had been scheduled for February 14, 2014 at the Seminar Hall of Sheraton Hotels.

He said this was necessary in the light of the ongoing preparation for the centenary celebration of Nigeria, followed by a valentine dinner by 6:30pm at Abuja on the same day.
