Glo supports 2014 Oil & Gas Games, urges fair play

Africa’s leading sports-supporting company, Globacom, has urged contingents participating in the 2014 Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG) to make fair play and healthy rivalry their watchword.

Globacom is a platinum sponsor of the competition taking place in Lagos from February 15 to 22, 2014.

In a statement released 'rule your world' company, the telecoms operator noted that the essence of the Games, which begins on Saturday, 15th February, 2014, tallied with the objective of the Olympic Games which is to participate rather than to win at all costs. The company said it was glad to sponsor the event as part of its support for the promotion of sports in the country in particular and Africa in general.

“The Games is to strengthen the bond of unity and friendship amongst personnel in the Oil and Gas Industry which is widely adjudged the mainstay of the Nigerian economy. We urge participants, contingents and supporters, to get maximum value from the Games, the statement added.
