Plans are in full gear for the implementation of the
National Broadband Policy by the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), New
Telegraph Nigeria reports.
According to the report, the regulatory spokesman, Tony
Ojobo has confirmed the move and the regulatory body would, as part of such
plans, open an auction to unveil a 2.3GHZ.
Ojobo said the move would take place between February 17 and
20 while another one would hold in June.
He stated the FG would provide the avenue and infrastructure
to enable individual have direct access to internet and telecommunication
services at the lowest rate.
The broadband policy is expected to enhance the provision of
high –speed internet connection suitability for certain applicants across the
country.
