Saka who used to feature in several Etisalat adverts and on their billboards for over two years until now, sings in the “I don Port” TVC. The actor sang that he has joined MTN via MNP and urged other mobile service users to do the same. The new TV commercial is believed to be a sign of high competition with the MNP.
In the advert, MTN said subscribers of other networks can join MTN by walking in to any MTN authorized outlet or send ‘PORT’ to 3232.
According to NCC, the MNP will bring a new dimension to the competition in the industry as network operators will have to work harder to earn the trust of subscribers because the commencement of mobile number portability means that subscribers now have a choice and can drop any operator that does not meet their expectations.
Saka is really making some cool money from ad. in the last couple of years. This a geat endorsement coup by MTN that will linger on in our minds for a long time.
