Promasidor Nigeria Limited has rewarded about 460 employees for their hard work and long years of service to the company. The employees, including their spouses were honoured for putting in 10 and 15 years of serving the company at Granduer Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos at the weekend.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director/CEO, Promasidor Nigeria, Chief Keith Richards, said the long service award is a yearly event meant to celebrate the company’s long serving staff and promote the spirit of togetherness in the company.
Richards said, “Today is about you. We want to appreciate you for your hard work and long years of service as well as use the opportunity to socialise and relax. We want to thank you for everything you have done to help this company. When we saw the number of people to be rewarded, at first we thought it would be a challenge but as the planning committee went on with the plans, we knew it will go well. Once again, from Promasidor group, thank you for your support and do enjoy yourselves".
In a pre- recorded message, Chairman, Board of Directors, Promasidor Nigeria, Mr. Mark Rose apologized for his absence to celebrate with the staff but congratulated the employees for long years of service. “Today over 400 of you are celebrating over 10 and even 15 years of service. Today is an opportunity to reward and show gratitude for your long years of service in this company. I apologize for not been here with you to celebrate. Firstly, I want to thank you for your commitment to the Promasidor business.”
Rose further said “Many of you joined after 1993 when we had only one brand ‘Cowbell’ and today we have more brands, we have Loya Milk, Onga, Milksi, Top Tea, Cowbell Chocolate, Amila, none of these would have been possible without you, for that I want to thank you. Please accept the gifts you will receive as a token from us and also I encourage you to do more.” Rose added that “this year the company will be 20 years in Nigeria and personally I look forward to another 20 years. Thank you and enjoy you celebration.”
Compered by Nigeria's leading comedian, Holy Mallam, the event had in attendance, top executives from the company including, Managing Director, Chief Keith Richards, Commercial Director, Kachi Onubogu, General Manager, Human Reasource, Vitus Ezinwa, Head, Legal and Public Relations, Andrew Enahoro, amongst others.
In appreciation, Sales Manager, Abuja, Promasidor Nigeria, Mrs. Rabi Momoh who received the 15 years long service award, spoke on behalf of all the awardees, saying “celebrating 10 years or 15 years anniversary in the same company is not easy, its commitment and loyalty that has kept us. We want to say thank you to the management and the organising team. Personally, I enjoyed myself and am sure my colleagues did same. On behalf of me and my colleagues, we are saying thank you.”
