Winners Emerge in MoneyGram Promo

Recently a total of one hundred and five depositors emerged as winners in the MoneyGram transfer promo which its raffle draw was held at Ocean View Restaurant, Victoria-Island, Lagos.

The promo was to help in continuation of its support for education in Nigeria. It distribute over 80,000 notebooks to over 15 deprived primary schools in Lagos, Ibadan and Benin City as materials such as school kits and laptops where all distributed to winners after which their names would be published on the faces of national newspapers.

Each Bank had a total of fifteen winners accredited to each. The first five would be given Samsung branded laptop while the remaining ten winners would go away with school kits.

In this regard, the computerized draw was supervised by APCON, CPC and other regulatory bodies to select winners for this promotion. This is going to be done through computerized software which would completely select winners randomly, and the data used is the raw user data held on MoneyGram servers in the United States.

The Business Development Manager, Mrs. Kemi Okusanya, while addressing representatives of banking establishments and as well members of the press said, ‘The “Gear up for School 2013” promotion was crafted to reward our customers who receive remittances for education. Our analysis indicates that this is the leading reason for emergency remittances in Nigeria and this flow peaks around the back to school period in August and September.’

This promo, saw customers who received MoneyGram’s during the period, receive instant gifts at the locations of our partner banks. For the purposes of this promotion, these banks included Mainstreet Bank, Enterprise Bank, First Bank, UBA, Sterling Bank, Keystone Bank, Skye Bank, Access Bank and Ecobank.
