Lagos Water Regatta to Hold on Easter Sunday

Lagosians home and abroad will converge at the waterfront pier on Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi Lagos on Easter Sunday for the 2012 edition of the Lagos Water Regatta; a fun filled water-based cultural sporting and recreational activity put togetherto showcase the aquatic splendour of the state.

This year’s theme: Lagos: Splash the Excitement, in the celebration of the Lagos aquatic splendour, is a cultural festival of indigenous communities for the sustainable development of the tourism potentials of the State.


These details were revealed on Friday, March 8, 2012 by Engr. Olusegun Jawando, Chairman, Lagos Water Regatta Working Committee at a media ceremony to unfold activities lined up for this year edition, at the Civic Centre.
