Ibis Hotel, Europe's largest operator of hotels and one of the first economy hotel chains in the world, owned by the French Accor group has announced it plan to extend it equity in Nigeria having established its largest in sub-Sahara Africa in the Center of Excellence, Lagos.
The hotel, which is located at Murtala Mohamed International Airport Road, Ajao Estate; 5 minutes away from the airport is one of the well-designed, fully-equipped sound proof en-suite bedroom with wide choice of onsite food and beverage options, unique outstanding interior decor, stainless walls and floors, sanitized swimming pool, warm bar and restaurant.
During a media tour yesterday at the hotel, Richard Robaix, the Manager of the ibis Lagos Airport hotel, stated that its decision to come into the Nigeria hospitality industry is an attempt to meet hospitality demands of travelers seeking both relatively low rates and international quality standard. He reveal that the hospitality giant operator is also planning to extend it operations in the country to Abuja, Port Harcourt and the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo state.
Ibis Hotel distinguishes itself from other traditional economic hotels, offering higher standards than ordinary hotels and primed for simplicity, quality, proximity and team spirit. It also offers its customers many services, such as Internet access in the rooms and in public areas, a 'web corner', and three conference rooms for business meetings.

Speaking about security in the hotel, Robiax stated: "We have been audited by many companies in Nigeria and overseas who has given us a certificate of satisfaction that we are secured enough. We have organized with the Nigerian Police around us for regular patrols and we have fences surrounding the hotel at about four meters height, we have CCTV all over the hotel inside and outside, we have lights on all night long around our premises and we have security patrol going on all the time for 24 hours."
The hotel is correctly offering a promo for all new and existing customers all across the world who lounge at its Lagos hotel, a discount on their accommodation for just N21,700 from 1st October, 2011 till December this year.
In Africa, Ibis is at the moment in Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Madagascar, Senegal and Guinea Equatorial. With many Ibis in Morocco, Algeria and also expanding to Ethiopia and Tunisia; it has pledged to continuously expand its brand all across the globe where it is yet to reach. Currently Accor Group manages 930 hotels in 40 countries around the world.
