Universal Music Group and Amazon Music Deepen Global Partnership to Drive Innovation and Artist-Centric Initiatives


Universal Music Group (UMG) and Amazon Music have announced an expanded global partnership to foster innovation, deliver exclusive content, and advance artist-centric principles, including enhanced fraud protection.

The collaboration underscores the companies’ shared commitment to safeguarding human artistry while maximizing commercial opportunities for UMG artists. The partnership will focus on creating new products, enriching fan engagement, and promoting authentic connections between artists and their audiences.

UMG and Amazon Music will also explore advancements in audio experiences, including audiobooks, visual programming, and live-streamed content that reaches fans worldwide. A key focus will be addressing challenges like unlawful AI-generated content and fraud, ensuring a secure and creative space for artists.

Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman & CEO of UMG, described the partnership as ushering in a new era of "Streaming 2.0."
